Our Review of the Mountain Buggy Urban Single stroller

Everyone's favorite Mountain Buggy Stroller, the Mountain Buggy Urban Single Stroller, comes with new and improved features just for you. Out shopping, with friends, and even on the trail, the new Urban Single Stroller has everything you expect in a Mountain Buggy, plus a few new features - a water bottle holder, a harness that accommodates newborns, a deep recline, and a flatter fold than ever before.

 Standout Features:

  • Super easy pushing. Push Urban Single with one finger - it's true, we tried!
  • Water bottle holder
  • Newborn-accommodating harness
  • Near-flat recline
  • Extra flat fold

Benefits for You: Push the Mountain Buggy Urban Single Stroller with little effort, even when all you can spare is a finger. The 12" air-filled tires and front swivel wheel handle everyday twists, turns, and bumps, and also adapt to any surprises the terrain brings. The lightweight aluminum frame folds in two easy steps and collapses flat for compact storage. When traveling, the axle retracts to make the stroller smaller - the retractable axle also allows for fewer shipping materials, which means less packaging, less waste, and a more environmentally friendly stroller.

A water-bottle holder and under seat storage basket hold everything you need to get through your day, and the extras you pick up along the way. The easy care fabric repels water and stands up to whatever life (and baby) brings. An adjustable handle makes for easy pushing when mom and dad are different heights.

Benefits for Baby: With a deeper recline than the original Urban Single Stroller, the new Mountain Buggy Urban Single's seat accommodates infants and post-lunch nappers alike. The sunhood shades baby on bright days. Add the Storm Cover to block wind and rain.

For your child's safety, Mountain Buggy follows global safety standards for an extra secure ride. Features include:

  • Locks that meet European safety standards
  • A 2-step fold that prevents the stroller from unexpectedly folding
  • A 5-point harness that adjusts small enough for a newborn

Compatibility: With the purchase of a Car Seat Adapter for Graco or Peg Perego, your Urban Single accepts a Graco Snugride, Graco SafeSeat (Step 1), or Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP infant car seat. With purchase of the Mountain Muggy Multi Car Seat Adapter, the Urban Single is compatible with these infant car seats:

  • Combi Connection
  • Compass infant car seats
  • Maxi Cosi Mico
  • Britax Companion
  • Chicco infant car seats

Bottom Line: With standout new safety and comfort features for you and baby, the Mountain Buggy Urban Single Stroller means easy strolling around town and on the trail. Add the Single Carrycot for the look of a traditional pram. For a Mountain Buggy with a few extra features, consider the Mountain Buggy Urban Elite Single Stroller, which includes a diaper bag and seat liner.

love it but needs bigger sun blocker

Love the Mountain Buggy Urban stroller but she is constantly getting the sun in her eyes. I don't really need bug control but I wish there was something I could attach at the bottom to block out more of the sun. i put a blanket but that just falls off.

Mountain Buggy Urban Single - Love my Buggy!

Reviewer: Michelle , Southfield, MI Date: August 08, 2008
I really couldn't be happier with my Mountain Buggy Urban Single stroller. I get stopped everywhere that I go with people wanting to know what kind of stroller it is and where to get one! It's super easy to fold and open, not too heavy to throw in the trunk, and has lots of great features. I call it my "Ultimate Shopping Machine"! I hook my diaper bag on the handle, store all my bags underneath, and I'm good to go!

LOVE this stroller...now need a double

My 20-mo-old daughter is happy as a clam in this stroller. I love it because I can easily pull it out of the trunk and pop it open with her in my arms. I can also push it on grass with one hand because the ride is so smooth. It's also perfect for casual shopping - relatively short wheel base and tight turning radius makes it more practical than I'd expected.

Great Stroller!

This stroller is great. I put it together myself very quickly (we also got the handlebar attachment, storm cover, and car seat attachment). It is a smooth ride and easy to maneuver and pack up and unpack. Well worth the money! I highly recommend it to everyone.

Love It!

My daughter is 10 months old now, and this is the only stroller we have ever used. While it was pricey, it was worth every penny! Nearly every week, my husband and I still discuss how awesome of a purchase our stroller was! We put 15-25 miles of mostly street walking and running on it every week. The swivel wheel makes trips to the store easy and the locked wheel means I can jog with the stroller in one hand and hold my dog's leash in the other. It's very comfortable for my daughter who often falls asleep in it. We purchased the sun cover which I also like. It keeps the sun off her face, but still allows her a pretty good view and a breeze. It folds easily and fit easily into the truck of my Corolla. I also love the recline mechanism because it is so simple and my daughter can lay almost completely flat! I thought I would wish I had a hand brake, but it never bothers me that this one doesn't have one! The tires glide so easily over all terrain... I couldn't be happier. My husband broke one of the quick release gadgets from the wheels, and customer service was awesome and prompt.

Love my Mountain Buggy Urban, and when I have a second child I will be in the market for a 2-seater!

Best stroller out there

Reviewer: Melissa , Orlando, FL Date: June 21, 2007
I did extensive research for months and even exchanged a few along the way. This is the best stroller out there. I spent more time searching for a stroller than shopping for a new car. I go to the beach often and this is great for the beach terrain. Also great for shopping since the storage comparment is huge. Not as big as a jogger and not compact its inbetween and very durable. Love it, its worth every penny.

Best stroller ever!

Reviewer: Jeanne Arnold , PA Date: June 23, 2006
Our son is large for his age...at 18 months old he was the size of most 4 year olds. We purchased this stroller because of the weight rating and because it accommodates children up to 42 inches. We're so please with this purchase! The construction is excellent, it folds up easily and fits nicely into our blazer. It's comfortable for my child and it's easy for him to see out. The urban edition is extremely maneuverable with the new front wheel. Nice bonus - you can lock the front wheel in place if your terrain or activities require it. What versatility! It's the last stroller we'll have to buy and worth every dime. The only room for improvement - you have to be careful when you take the stroller out and unfold it. The first time I did, I pinched my fingers in the middle of the foot rest. I have slim fingers so I was able to pull them out without too much trouble, except for my wedding ring. But if you have thick fingers, watch out!
