The Micralite Fastfold Newborn System is a brand new addition to the world of ultra-light and tight folding urban strollers that is usable from the day your child was born. It has already garnered lots of attention in Europe and the UK--winning the Best Buy Award from Prima Baby Magazine and a 5 Star Editor's Award from Practical Parenting.
The distinct ergonomic design, excellent maneuverability, and easy push of Micralite walking strollers puts them in the same "high-style, high-function, high-price" stroller category as Bugaboo, and Orbit Baby. The differences between the Micralite and the urban strollers offered by those brands is significant. The Micralite is more affordable, MUCH lighter, folds up very tightly, and offers fewer fashions and accessories than those brands.
This Micralite Newborn System is a Micralite Fastfold Stroller with these extras:

Not an umbrella stroller, yet not a jogging stroller
The versatile Micralite strikes a careful balance between size, weight, and utility. At only 15lbs. the Micralite Fastfold is the lightest of its caliber. Its precision engineered aluminum chassis fold with one hand into what is perhaps the tightest package of any 12" rear wheel stroller.
A truly distinguishing feature of the Micralite is that it stands upright when folded, all on its lonesome. Couple this unique design element with a simple one-step, one-hand folding mechanism and you may agree with us that this stroller is a traveler's dream. It can fit in the overhead storage compartment of an airliner, or sit upright in the backseat of your car if the trunk is too full. A spring loaded frame lets you snap it back into action twice as fast.
- The Micralite's seat has a 5-point harness, two recline settings (the recline is very limited, however), and comes complete with an underside storage basket and rain cover.

While the Newborn System can be used from infancy, the harness seat is not recommended for use with children under 6 months of age.
Bottom Line: Unlike a Bugaboo, there's no need to remove the seat or wheels of the Micralite to get a compact fold, making the Fastfold much more convenient when dealing with stairs or for a quick transfer from trunk to street and back again.
The Bugaboo and Quinny Zapp do have certain advantages over the Micralite, such as the wide range of style choices and accessories those brands offer. Since the distinctive Micralite seems to be aimed at the aesthetically conscious parent, it seems strange to us that the stylistic emphasis that characterizes both Bugaboo and Quinny Strollers was "lost in migration" between the UK and the States.
Color choices aside, Micralite has nearly all the benefits of owning those other high-end strollers--plus a few of its own: a small fold, smooth ride, easy push, and a very eye-catching design.
**Warranty Information: "Euro-Baby guarantees this product to be free from Manufacturer's defects, under normal wear and usage, from 2 years from the date of purchase for the original resgistered owner . . . and will replace any defective item upon returning the defective item to Euro-Baby."
